Performance enhancing chips are available at most automotive stores and auto repair shops. The installation process is not horribly complex, which means that if you have some working car knowledge, you can tune your engine chip yourself at home. However, for safety reasons, it is best to have a professional complete the service for you, as tuning the engine improperly can lead to a number of problems, including costly damage to the engine itself. It is important to note that since the process is not that complex, having a professional tune your vehicle is not horribly expensive. The cost will of course range depending on the make and model of your car, but is affordable to most vehicle owners.
